Over the years, Lumbini Park has become a popular destination among locals and tourists alike, attracting visitors with its scenic beauty and a variety of recreational options.

Timings: 

Lumbini Park welcomes visitors throughout the week, offering a serene retreat in the heart of Hyderabad. The park operates from morning to evening, allowing visitors to enjoy its peaceful ambiance and various attractions. The timings are as follows:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM

It’s advisable to check the timings in advance as they may vary during public holidays or special events.

Entry Fee: To experience the wonders of Lumbini Park, a nominal entry fee is charged. The fee covers access to the park as well as some of its popular attractions. As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the entry fee details were as follows:

  • Adults: Rs. 20 per person
  • Children (Below 10 years): Rs. 10 per person

What to do at Lumbini Park?

A paddle boat can be rented and taken for a ride on the park’s nearby lake. This also allows you to have a closer look at the Lord Buddha statue in the middle of the lake. Ant Hill is a giant model show of insects and fruits.

The Lumbini Park’s musical fountain and laser show are must-sees. The water from the synchronized fountains is sprayed in line with the melodies that are often in Telugu. Everyone is drawn to the Musical Fountain and Waterfalls. Water gushing up to the sky, forming a water screen on which the history of Hyderabad is shown, is a spectacle that few of us have witnessed before. It’s a full-fledged adventure. On all days except Mondays, the park is available to the public. Every day at 7:15 p.m. A laser show takes place at the venue, except for weekends when it takes place twice at 7:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
